an evolution of design

Communication Design Overview

Communication Design

What makes up Communication Design?
In reality, all design is communication, that’s the point of design. You can reinforce your brand identity through advertising, infographics, or presentations.

Advertising

Whether it’s social media, print ads, or packaging, you want to catch the viewer’s eye. Your advertising is an extension of your brand. As a designer that specializes in brand and communication design, I understand the importance of both areas.

Infographics

My analytical background has given me the experience to take data and turn it into design. This allows you to provide raw information that I then turn into a design your consumers will understand.

Presentations

Simplification and understanding how people will remember what they’ve heard is key to a successful presentation. After working for the company that sells PowerPoint, I’ve witnessed the evolution of how presentations are given. The early years consisted of every thought put on a slide with graphics zooming in from every direction, not a good experience for the audience. Today’s presentations are clearer and more concise. We’ve restrained ourselves from tricking out a presentation with every animation available and have come to understand the visuals should support, not distract, from the message.

If you can’t explain it simply,
you don’t understand
it well enough.
